Another family participation program begins called Family Wellness. Neighborhood families (adults and children under one roof) will learn how to build on their strengths, communicate and develop family unity.

Every other month
A group of GVSU senior nursing students spend a seven week on-site clinical rotation here at our facility. Each student nurse is paired with one of our neighbors to walk with them through health care issues over the seven week course. The students also provide health education sessions in an effort to reach out to our neighbors. |

Christmas Store
Our annual opportunity to work with neighbors as they earn credit to shop for their children and give "The Gift with Dignity". We accept your donations of new items (price tags on) on the first Monday of December. Our neighbors sign up to work at various jobs earning credit to spend in the store. It's one of our most successful outreach programs to our neighbors and it gives us the perfect opportunity to tell the real Christmas story. |

YES (Youth Employment Service)
Each summer we employ a college age intern to oversee our lawn mowing service. We hire 12 local teens to work and learn through the YES program. The teens gain work experience, develop leadership skills, learn money management principles and have fun.
