Our 40th Anniversary
We are thrilled to be celebrating God's faithfulness for the past 40 years.
Our big celebration and fund raising event was held at Remembrance Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, on October 2. We enjoyed the company of 400 people including current supporters and new friends.
The TerMaat-Westown Family Development fund was introduced at the celebration. This ongoing fund will allow "The Other Way" Ministries to expand programming to develop neighborhood individuals and, most importantly, families into leaders in our community.

Our Vision Statement:
“The Other Way” Ministries envisions a community where Westown neighbors . . .
- Value people of all ages, races, abilities and cultures
- Come together to meet needs, affirm strengths and develop leaders
- Work together to foster economic, educational, social and spiritual growth
We believe that Jesus Christ is the transformer of hearts and lives . . .the restorer of community. He calls us to be His ambassadors. His strength empowers us. His scripture guides us and His Spirit leads us as we live out His call to be good neighbors. (Luke 10: 25-37)
